Two identical impacts...
(CVPI rear-end collision without a FIRE Panel installed)
...two very different results...
(CVPI rear-end collision with a FIRE Panel installed)
...one simple solution...
...A FIRE Panel installed
on the fuel tank of a CVPI.
Yes, it truly is that simple. We have performed two new high-speed, rear-end crash tests on the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (CVPI). These two tests were conducted in November of 2003 and used the most current and accepted testing protocols for severe rear-end impacts involving the CVPI. Both tests were performed in an identical fashion with the exception that, for the second test, a FIRE Panel was installed on the fuel tank.
As the above images show, the FIRE Panel clearly adds a significant layer of safety to the CVPIs* of any department — large or small. Watch one of the videos below and ask yourself which CVPI you and your personnel would rather be in...the CVPI without the FIRE Panel...or the CVPI with the very affordable FIRE Panel?
* Not all high-speed rear-end collisions result in a fire
